Powerful jewelry empowering women. These statement earrings in toquilla straw are  bold and at the same light weight jewelry.

The straw is super light is called toquilla and is the same straw using in the hand crafting of the finest Panama hats. The women weaving this disks live in the mountains of Montecristi, Ecuador

The delicate embellishment work have been made by me Allie Thornton, in my CA studio, using gold filled high quality findings,  real pearls and turquoises crystals.
 
The posts are also gold filled 14k. The beads were individually and delicately woven using alambrado or wire wrapping techniques. My technique is seamless and exquisite.  I have time to perfect  my techique with all the free time I have on 2020 enclosed during the pandemia.
