Powerful jewelry empowering women. These statement earrings in toquilla straw are  bold and at the same light weight jewelry.

The straw is super light is called toquilla and is the same straw using in the hand crafting of the finest Panama hats. The women weaving this disks live in the mountains of Montecristi, Ecuador

The delicate embellishment work have been made by me Allie Thornton, in my CA studio, using gold filled high quality findings,  real pearls and gold filled beads.
 
The pearls and beads not glued with a gun, contrary are individually woven using alambrado or wire wrapping techniques . Each pair of earrings takes me a couple of hours to make,
 
The posts are also gold filled 14k.
